romance, mystery, history, family....this novel has a little bit of everything. First book in a 2 book series about half sisters who recently discover each other and the family they share. A race against the clock to discover a missing heirloom and flashbacks to tell their grandfather's story of his time in the Dutch Resistance during WW2.

I M Glad My Mom Died

Wow, what an emotional ride. I did not know much about this actress, Jeannette McCurdy, but found her memoir interesting. I could not believe all she dealt with as a child and how much she has/is overcoming. Sometimes we forget that everything you see and read does not reflect accurately what is going on in a person’s life, as this book illustrates. Definitely worth a read!

The Last Pirate  of New York : A Ghost Ship , A Killer , and the Birth of a Gangster nation / Rich Cohen.

I like history but found the book dry in spots. Mr Cohen made Hicks into a hero instead of recognizing him as a cold-blooded pirate in 1860 NY.

A Gentleman In Moscow

Great narration, interesting story and characterizations, but I didn't love this as much as many others did.

It's really funny. The audition for the play was my favorite part. She stood up for her friend. someone was being mean to her friend.

Nathan Hale's Hazardous Tales

I don't usually read graphic novels, but thoroughly enjoyed this. I learned more about Harriet Tubman, her birth name, the difference between an abductor and a conductor and other abductors who helped free slaves. I really enjoyed it.

Artifice

This was a page turner. The characters and plot were rich and well developed. I did not know that there were art forgers during World War II, so it was great to learn about something new.

The Good Liar

I read the book and watched the movie as part of a mission and really enjoyed both. It's the story of two elderly people who you discover both have secrets. I really enjoyed it as I did not see the twist at the end coming.
