Surprisingly engaging.

It's a story about a girl named Miosotis who wants this dog named freckles that has been abused a lot but can't get freckles because her Abuela is allergic so she can't get one.

This book was AMAZING! It was a true page turner and had you invested with the first sentence. The whole novel keeps you on your toes and though it was creepy, it wasn't gory or super scary (I tend to stay away from scary books but my friend INSISTED I read this - so worth it!).

This is a great book not to judge by its cover. The title and cover primed my brain for a light, beach’s read, and this book was anything but. Readers get first person perspective on many characters, and the plot takes many unexpected turns.
